She attended Allama Iqbal Medical College and completed her residency at Jinnah Hospital Lahore.
She did her first fellowship in Obstetrics & Gynaecology & served at several prestigious institutes in the country.
She also did a specialised fellowship in Gynae Oncology at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital & Research Centre where she published several papers.
After completion of fellowship ,she was one of the first Gynae Oncologist to be recruited as Senior Instructor at Shaukat Khanum Hospital in the department of Surgical Oncology.
Later on she moved from that position to the post of Consultant where she taught several medical officers & trainees.
